The Proving Ground
Walk your novel
Not a demo reel. Your pages. Give the hall your manuscript and it builds itself from your own words — a gate for every chapter, engraved with the strongest line you wrote, hung with the light this house would hang, and clocked to the minute it would run on screen. Then walk it.
The door of the hall
Give the Ground your pages
Paste a chapter or the whole novel. The hall is built from your own words, here in this browser — nothing is uploaded, nothing is kept.
This walk is free. The forged thing is not.
The Ground is yours to walk as often as you like, forever, at no cost. When you want the real vessel — your chapters surveyed into ground and compiled into a playable build — that is the Novel-Game.
The law of the Ground
- The walk is struck in your own browser. Your pages never leave this machine, and no machine drafts a word of it.
- Every room is measured at the house rate — 155 words to a finished minute — so the clock you see is the clock you would be billed against.
- The shot, the light and the register are the house's opening reading, not a finished film. The Forge is where it is cut.
- Paste a chapter or paste the whole novel. The Ground will walk either.
When you want the reading rather than the walk — beat by beat, rule by rule — the director's desk stands in the Proving Hall.
